Over 25 business leaders attended the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation’s (CCEDC) Brown Bag Networking lunch which was held today, May 22, at Hixwood Metal in Stanley.

The purpose of this business event was to educate attendees on the duties, policy and procedure of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and CCEDC was honored to have the departments Secretary Ben Brancel join us to share that information.  Secretary Brancel gave an overview of sectors of the department, shared objectives, and plans to move Wisconsin forward.  Attendees participated in an open Q & A session.  Following lunch and networking, Hixwood Metal provided tours of their newly expanded location.
