Chairman's Message
Personal Letter from the CCEDC Ringleader ~ Terry Isensee
Dear Rebels and Renegades in Economic Development,
Please take time to put down your kick stand and look in your rear view mirror at these reflections of the past year’s progress. The 2010-2011 annual report of the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) reflects our past year’s energy and actions that have helped us accomplish major economic development milestones.
Thanks in large part to our investors; we were able to help guide site selectors to Chippewa County through our online resources, Economic Advantage Geo Locator Interface (EAGL-i) as well as our informative website www.chippewa-wi.com. CCEDC’s CEO attended trade shows throughout the United States to actively promote the idea that Chippewa County is a great place to start a business, work, raise a family, and enjoy the open roads.
CCEDC broke free from the status quo marketing and was awarded the 2011 Wisconsin Economic Development Association-Economic Development Organization Award and the 2010 International Economic Development Council-Promotional Award for our marketing efforts.
By continuing proactive economic development actions we are witnessing the Chippewa County economy rebound from the “Great Recession”. CCEDC’s upcoming plans are to continue supporting our existing businesses and taking on new job and development opportunities with a passion and commitment that others do not have- a “renegade passion”.
Thank you to our CEO Charlie Walker, Administrative Assistant Jerilyn Sahr, and our CCEDC Board of Directors for keeping us on the cutting edge. I have enjoyed serving as your chair this year and look forward to serving you one more year.
Perhaps most importantly the greatest potential of the Chippewa County is still on the horizon. Let’s get ready to rev up our engines, hop on our bikes and let the wind blow through our hair, as we ride together and build a reputation for collaboration that rebels against mediocrity and complacency.
Ride On,
“Ringleader” Terry Isensee, CCEDC Chairperson
