Making Time for Time Management
Making Time for Time Management
Like most people today you may be overwhelmed with too much to do with too little time to do it in, leading you into a situation that is unproductive and unfulfilling, giving a sense that the harder you work, the more behind you get! With that in mind CCEDC and the Growth Coach teamed up to address the topic of time management by hosting the workshop “The Harder I Work, The Behinder I Get” which was held on Tuesday, November 16th in Chippewa Falls. During the event 16 area business leaders gathered for a breakfast meeting at the Avalon Hotel and Conference Center to learn ideas and tips on managing their time more effectively thus living more productive and less stressful lives.
The workshop presenter and business coach, Jon Fields of the Growth Coach overviewed the major objectives when adopting a time management program. Fields instructed on the importance of a strategic mindset; task sorting/prioritizing/delegating; strategic business concepts and management skills then following through with goal setting strategies to improve time management. “You need to sort through the trivial many (tasks) to identify the vital few (tasks) to find the best use for your time,” Fields instructed “your number one goal in business is to get and retain customers, time management through strategic planning, delegation and outsourcing are key components.”
“The time management training event was put together to provide business leaders with easy-to-implement processes , tools and techniques to work more efficiently, therefore accomplishing more during the work day and lowering stress levels”, stated Charlie Walker, President/CEO of CCEDC “Implementation of effective time management training can improve your daily work flow process immediately”.
