Small Business Innovation Research Program
Small Business Innovation Research Program
The Department of Defense (DOD) is the largest participant in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program with approximately $1.4 billion in research funding. DoD funds early-stage R&D projects at small technology companies -- projects which serve a DoD need and have the potential for commercialization in private sector and/or military markets.
