Chippewa County Business Leaders gathered at Extrusion Dies Industries LLC (EDI) in Chippewa Falls to attend the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) Brown Bag Leadership Luncheon on August 25, 2010.

The topic for discussion was the best methods to find and retain a manufacturing sales representative.  CCEDC was please to have Jerry Leth, Director of Membership of the Manufacturers Agents National Association (MANA) an association of interdependent manufacturers and representatives dedicated to educating, protecting and promoting the multi-line, outsourced sales functions attend and give a presentation regarding the importance of a good sales rep, how to find them and keep them.

Greg Raleigh, Operations Manager of EDI also had the opportunity to share information about EDI’s Lean Manufacturing program which had begun in 2008 , explaining their current progress and sharing future plans to improve efficiency, attendees were then provided a tour of EDI.  EDI is the world's largest manufacturer of flat dies and the field's technological leader, making thousands of dies per year which are shipped world-wide. Chippewa Falls is EDI’s corporate world-wide headquarters.

CCEDC holds a Brown Bag Leadership Lunch once a month to provide Chippewa County business leaders the opportunity to get together for networking and to share ideas, products and services with other Chippewa County businesses.
