Formerly Project Neighbor, General Beer Northwest (GBN) has publicly announced their plans to move forward with a $1.5 million expansion in the Lake Wissota Business Park in Chippewa Falls.

Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) has been working closely with John Manier, GBN’s Operations Manager as well as other company executives with their plans to purchase an additional 6 acres in the Lake Wissota Business Park in Chippewa Falls for their 32,000 sq/ft expansion.   The addition will neighbor GBN’s current 54,000 sq/ft facility that was opened in 2006.

“A business expansion during this volatile economy is a huge success for Chippewa County” stated Charlie Walker, President/CEO of CCEDC “anytime we can help an existing business, with a great reputation we all benefit”.

GBN would like to begin the project immediately and hopes to get the footings in the ground by the end of 2010.  The Chippewa Falls GBN location distributes to 12 counties in northwest Wisconsin and employees 75 people.
