Since 1988, the Chwala family has been providing Chippewa Valley residents with quality home improvement and building construction. For over 20 years, the company’s reputation has been built on superior customer service and dedicated workmanship. The company includes a second generation, as Bill and Debbie’s son, Ryan, is a partner in the construction business.

According to Bill and Ryan Chwala, the company’s focus has been on residential projects. “We do mostly residential homes, with some light commercial work mixed in as well,” Bill Chwala said. The renovation and remodeling portion of the business has played a significant part in the success of the company. In fact, the company has built this portion of the business during the recent economic downturn. “Instead of building new homes, people are maintaining and updating their current homes,” said Debbie Chwala. This has led to an influx of remodeling projects throughout the area.

Although media portrays the housing market as struggling, Chwala’s Construction is currently busy, partly due to the remodeling boom. “I do think the market is going to rebound; we are actually looking to hire qualified candidates right now,” explained Bill. Presently, the company employs eight employees.

While the company excels at producing quality projects, Bill and Ryan Chwala want to ensure the Stanley-area and Chippewa County remain a quality place to live. Because of his passion for the community, both he and the company have been involved with numerous community events. Bill has served as the Stanley Chamber of Commerce president, has been involved with the Stanley Business Association, is a Knights of Columbus member and has participated in the Stanley Rodeo committee for the past five years. Chwala’s Construction also participates in school-related functions through sponsorships and donations.

The Chwala family looks forward to continuing its community involvement. They strongly believe the best economic development asset of Chippewa County is that it offers a great place to live and raise a family. With their son, Ryan, as a partner in Chwala’s Construction and their daughter, Heather, as owner of Broadway Home, Floral & Design, the family looks to a bright future.
