CCEDC Completes Tradeshow in Anaheim
Chippewa Falls-President and CEO of the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation, Charlie Walker just returned from Anaheim, California. Mr. Walker was assisting Momentum West with their business attraction activities by helping with the exhibit at the 2010 Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West Conference and Trade Show. Walker worked with other Momentum representatives Tom Elbert of River Falls Industrial Center, Jamie Huntington of OEM Fabricators, and Louise Bentley, Program Manager of Momentum West in staffing the industry-specific booth.
In addition, to representing Chippewa County at MD&M, Mr. Walker gave a Chippewa familiarization briefing to over a dozen leading medical suppliers and packaging material companies about advantages of manufacturing in Wisconsin. While in Southern California, the trip gave CCEDC a perfect opportunity to visit on-one with several site selection professionals who represent manufacturing companies looking to expand into the Midwest market and invite several clients attending the trade show to a reception to learn more about the opportunities of expanding their business to Chippewa County.
The primary mission of the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation is to foster a strong economic environment which supports businesses and nurtures growth and new investment in the region. Dedicated to promoting and facilitating economic development and to improving the quality of life in Chippewa County by increasing the economic base, CCEDC markets, supports, and promotes Chippewa County for business retention, expansion and job creation.
