Cadott-based Crescent Meats, a meat processing firm, will be opening a retail meat, cheese and bread outlet at 2979 Commercial Blvd., Chippewa Falls next to McDonalds and Great Clips.

“We’re going to open the first week of March, but we are planning our grand opening on March 13^th,” said John Malaszuk, whose brother-in-law , Wayne Lautsbaugh has owned the Cadott meat processing plant the past nine years.

 “We plan to exclusively market products from local farmers so we can maintain quality control,” said Malaszuk, who added that the business will initially employ four people.
