Chippewa Falls, WI-During the next three months the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) will be increasing their business visitation program. This award-winning program helps ensure that existing businesses in Chippewa will remain economically viable by being proactive.
Board Members and staff from the CCEDC conduct face-to-face visits with area businesses to explore issues that companies are facing. The program examines issues such as workforce quality, recruiting, expansion plans, competitive challenges and overall satisfaction with the Chippewa area as place to do business. Board Members and staff from the CCEDC conduct face-to-face visits with area businesses to explore these issues.
Our existing businesses are one of the most important assets of our community, they are the ones that hire our citizens, pay taxes, and make and capital investments
The visits help us identify key trends and issues affecting local manufacturing firms. said Charlie Walker, the President and CEO of the CCEDC.
CCEDC Board Member Paul Salm added, The visitation program is a tool to ensure that we can proactively address any challenges area businesses face as early as possible. Based on the visits with local businesses, CCEDC works to proactively address any identified issues that would have a negative impact on the business or economic climate.
All information gained by the visits remains confidential and any area businesses that have not been contacted for a visit are strongly encouraged to participate by calling Jerilyn Sahr at 715-723-7150.
