The topic of discussion was the challenges ahead in Chippewa County during the most recent CCEDC Brown Bag Leadership luncheon.   The luncheon was held at AJ Manufacturing in Bloomer on January 19th with over 20 Chippewa County business leaders participating. 

Chippewa County’s Administrator Bill Reynolds presented to the group on the status and dramatic changes of the Chippewa County demographics.  Reynolds also shared the different strategies that have been implemented to keep the county above water during these challenging economic times.  “Household income trends and aging trends will dramatically shape the future for Chippewa County”, state Reynolds.  He also explained to the attendees how important their businesses are to Chippewa County’s growth and success. After the presentation Reynolds let the group know that he will be taking a six-month leave of absence to serve for the military in Afghanistan.  CCEDC would like to thank Reynolds for his service to our country. After the presentation Todd Carlson, General Manager of AJ Manufacturing Inc. gave the group a tour of the facility. 

The CCEDC Brown Bag Leadership Luncheon was designed to bring Chippewa County business leaders together. “The strategy of networking is paying off, local companies are discovering what other companies are doing to diversify their business and improve their profits during these challenging times”, stated Charlie Walker, President/CEO of CCEDC “the participants are communicating and sharing these ideas amongst each other.”
