A Partnership for a Stronger Economy
A Partnership for a Stronger Economy
A Partnership for a Stronger Economy (PSE) hearing will be held from 1:00-3:30 p.m. on Monday February 8th in Eau Claire in the Commons at the Chippewa Valley Technical College Gateway Campus, 2320 Alpine Road, Eau Claire, WI.
Over the course of the past year, Wisconsin families and businesses have been confronted with the most challenging economic climate in generations. After inheriting a record budget deficit and a bleak economic outlook, Assembly acted quickly and made the difficult decisions necessary to balance the states budget on time and lay the groundwork necessary to get Wisconsin back on track. In the face of a $6.6 billion budget deficit and a record $3 billion in spending cuts, Assembly demonstrated their commitment to both stabilizing and growing our economy by authorizing over $200 million worth of new job creation incentives.
With that in mind, a long-term, bipartisan partnership has been created with members from the business community, economic development professionals, educators, organizations on the front-line of worker training and a select group of members from the State Assembly. This is truly a new way of doing business in Wisconsin.
There is a PSE website that includes information such as biographies of members, upcoming meetings, and media articles. The link is:
