Applications are being accepted for assistance under Wisconsin’s Fiscal Year 2012 Freight Railroad Assistance Program.  This includes both loans under the Wisconsin Freight Railroad Infrastructure Improvement Program and grants under the freight Railroad Preservation Program.  Applications for both programs must be submitted by February 1, 2011. A decision on which projects may be funded is anticipated by June 2011. The funds will be available after July 1, 2011 for the 2011 and 2012 construction seasons.
