A Success: Getting to Know your Small Business Lender

CCEDC and the Chippewa Valley Innovation Center (CVIC) teamed up to host the small business lending forum, Getting to Know Your Small Business Lender. During the forum 15+ entrepreneurs and small business owners gathered to receive first-hand information from local small business lenders exploring ways in which credit can be accessible and the criteria bankers are looking for when a small business or entrepreneur applies for financing.
“CCEDC recognizes that small business is crucial to driving the economy, their ability to grow and generate new jobs depends largely on access to credit, for that reason CCEDC teamed up with the CVIC and local business bankers to provide this event, ” stated Charlie Walker, President/CEO of CCEDC. “The small business lenders forum made it possible for small businesses and entrepreneurs to ask questions to local business bankers and receive personal information regarding their specific questions.”
The forum was held on February 9, 2011 at the CVIC located at 3132 Louis Avenue, EC. The CVIC provides temporary facility, managerial, technical and financial assistance to emerging entrepreneurial businesses. This and other CCEDC workshops are part of CCEDC's Business Retention Program. This program helps retain business and encourages expansion of existing businesses. The program also places significant emphasis on creating a business environment for stable, successful companies. CCEDC would like to thank our local small business bankers from Citizens State Bank, M & I Bank and Wisconsin Business Development for providing information and leading the forum.
