Receiving Recognition by the Chippewa County Board Supervisors

Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) received recognition during the Chippewa County Board meeting which was held March 8. CCEDC was honored for being recipient of the WEDA Economic Development Organization Award for 2011. The award was given to CCEDC by the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) and was presentedto CCEDC’s President/CEO Charlie Walker at the 2011 Biennial Economic Development Awards Madison.The award recognized CCEDC for outstanding achievements by an economic development organization. WEDA cited CCEDC’s business retention program, business recruitment efforts, entrepreneurial development program, the CCEDC Business of the Year award program, participation in the development and implementation of the Economic Advantage Geo Locator Interface (Eagl-i) site selection and market analysis tool, as well as CCEDC’s partnership with the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) on implementing the Critical Core Manufacturing Skills (CCMS) program as a bias to give the CCEDC the honor.
Steven Kubacki, Chippewa County’s administrator had present at the award on behalf of Chippewa County to Teresa Isensee, Chairperson of CCEDC accepted the award on behalf of CCEDC.
