CCEDC hosted a Brown Bag Networking Luncheon on Tuesday, July 12 at General Beer Northwest located in the Lake Wissota Business Park.

During the luncheon Valerie Fedie, R & D Senior Tax Manager of WIPFLI CPA & Consultants presented information on the Research & Development (R & D) tax credit that is available to many businesses.  Fedie explained if an organization manufactures products, there’s a good chance it is eligible take advantage of the R&D tax credit. “Contrary to the popular belief, the R&D tax credit isn’t limited to high-tech, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies” stated Fedie,  “today’s R&D tax credit can apply to a variety of areas, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, sales, and information technology, a company may also qualify if they hire outside consultants or contracts.”
