“Freight Rail: Working for Wisconsin”
For 2011 Wisconsin's Freight Rail Companies bring this annual event back to our State Capital. The Agenda again this year includes a presentation from expert Wall Street Railroad Financial Analyst, Tony Hatch. The day begins with Governor Scott Walker and his administration's efforts to strengthen Wisconsin's economy, including Freight initiatives. Dennis Winters, Chief, Office of DWD-Wisconsin's Economic Advisors will give us a take on how we're progressing in Wisconsin's job creation and economic recovery efforts.
[Note that this year Registration begins at 9 AM, with opening remarks at 9:30.]
After lunch, we'll have some presentations on Wisconsin railroads' contributions to an economic boost for the state. We'll discover how railroads are working with developing markets as well as finding efficiencies in current ones.
Significant issues regarding rail infrastructure, safety and regulation are under consideration in Washington, D.C. We'll have Anne Canby, Director of the OneRail Coalition bringing us the national rail perspective. (We also expect to have a similar report on what may be before us from the state government perspective.)
For those interested, when you register you can also sign up to join us in visiting legislators in the Capitol in the mid-afternoon. So, click here for our Registration Form and get your place reserved for this program as well as the chance to interact with those who share your interest in Wisconsin's Freight Railroad industry.
