CCEDC Receives Recognition for Economic Development Efforts

Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) was honored to receive recognition at the 2011 Mid-America Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum in Chicago on December 5, 2011. The Mid-America Economic Development Council (MAEDC) awarded the CCEDC “The Best of the Midwest” awards for the categories of Annual Report and for their joint efforts with the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) for the Workforce Development program-Critical Core Manufacturing Skills (CCMS). Charlie Walker, President/CEO attended the conference and accepted the awards on behalf of CCEDC.
The nominees had been judged based off of effectiveness in reaching goals, quality of content, uniqueness, innovation and originality. The award competition was open to all economic development organizations in the MAEDC’s 10-state region and designed to recognize outstanding economic development efforts.
Due to the recognition and strength in economic development efforts CCEDC will be also featured in the January 2012 Site Selection magazine.
