AMPI upgrades facility

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is wrapping up an upgrade to their Jim Falls and Blair plant locations.  The $7.5million investment included the installation of 18 new cheese vats and is projected to increase the company’s cheese production at both plants by 3.6 million pounds per year.

AMPI is first in the USA to install the innovative vats, redefining the benchmark for cheese-making production and quality.  These new vats feature advanced technology, automation and efficiency.  It also improves the texture and taste of cheese manufactured.

Cheese made from the newly installed vat produced award winning cheese at the 2011 World Dairy Expo Dairy Products Championship contest.
