Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) teamed up with the UW-Eau Claire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and SCORE to provide a Business Consulting Day on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. This important and informative event was held at the newly opened Camille’s Sidewalk Café located at 1120 122^nd Street in Lake Hallie.

From 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. CCEDC set up the free-of-charge individual business consulting sessions with Jim Mishefske Director of the SBDC. The business consulting session participants were very diverse in nature but they all agreed that the consulting session were helpful, and they were pleased with the information that was provided.

Business retention, expansion of existing companies and recruitment of new businesses are critical issues to Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation and are included in the plan of work.  One way to provide the tools that businesses can utilize to grow and be successful is to provide educational opportunities such as Business Consulting Days several times a year throughout the county.
