$1,000 scholarship available to qualified students in Dairy or Food Science in Wisconsin

WOW Logistics a Chippewa Falls logistics company, is seeking applications for their annual WOW Logistics/Thomas J. Oswald Scholarship within the dairy and food industry.  WOW Logistics is proud to offer this annual $1,000 scholarship to a student attending a University of Wisconsin System school seeking a degree in dairy or food science with a focus on the dairy manufacturing industry.

WOW Logistics and its CFO, Thomas J. Oswald, recognize the significance of the dairy industry to the state of Wisconsin and the high cost of education for the students seeking theses degrees.  WOW Logistics works closely with nearly 50 clients within the dairy industry to handle and store more than one billion pounds of dairy products each year.  With this annual $1,000 scholarship WOW strives to encourage and promote careers within the dairy manufacturing industry.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in a University of Wisconsin System school.
• Enrolled in a Dairy or Food Science program, ideally with a dairy manufacturing focus.
• Sophomore, junior or senior level (if senior, must attend school in Fall 2012)
• In good academic standing.

The winning applicant will be announced on April 1, 2012 and invited to accept the award at the International Cheese Technology Exposition, April 11th in Milwaukee, WI.
