Today, 21+ business leaders came together to hear from the UW-Stout’s Manufacturing Outreach Center (MOC) on the topic of business growth strategies. The event was jointly hosted by the Chippewa County and Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corporations and Bob Oliver, Growth and Operational Excellence Advisor, for the MOC provided the presentation. Oliver’s discussion points focused on current global trends and how they are and will be impacting economics. During this interactive session the participants discussed the impact of current trends and strategies to research and consider to move forward and remaining competitive. Strategies discussed included: discovering new markets, creating a company culture for growth and innovation, and creating a system/plan that focuses on growth. In business, growth is an imperative, not an option- CCEDC offered this and other business retention events to provide Chippewa Valley businesses the resources they need to reach full potential in their business.
The event was held on August 10, 2016 at Hangar 54 at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport.
