Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) was part of an early morning air service discussion with SkyWest airlines at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (CVRA) on Wednesday, October 19th.
The event launched with the Airport Administrator Charity Zich discussing the trends of airlines throughout the United States focusing on consolidation, pilot shortage, aversion, and fleet changes. She then reviewed recent trends of the CVRA.
SkyWest’s marketing team member McKinnley Matson discussed the advantages of traveling via the CVRA and shared how their services had reached the reliability goal for the year (2016). Matson shared that the CVRA has remained competitive with pricing, and discussed the competitive advantages of what using a local airport are when traveling for business or recreation.
Those who attended came prepared with marketing strategies to bring to the table. They discussed personal experiences as customers of the CVRA, the convenience and affordability for business travel, corporate travel promotions, and the fact that CVRA is a very friendly environment for families with children.
