‘Keys to Talent Management’ was the topic of the discussion during the most recent CCEDC lunch & learn event held on March 6, 2018, at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Hallie.
During the event Bob Oliver, Growth Advisor for the UW-Stout Manufacturing Outreach Center discussed trends that are changing workforce attraction and retention and key elements to assist companies in addressing these challenges. Bryan Barts, Director of Career Services at UW-Stout provided information on multi-generations in the workplace and how the incoming generation is shifting the way employers hire and retain employees. Barts shared information and recommendations for talent attraction and retention and brought three UW-Stout Coop students who participated on a panel for event attendees. This interactive lunch and learn session had over a dozen companies in attendance to who were interested in discussing and learning strategies to assist with today’s talent management challenges.
